Cemetery Trustees voted on a few changes to the rules and regulations
Posted on Friday, June 16, 2017
After our Public Hearing and meeting on June 15, 2017, the Candia Cemetery Trustees voted on a few changes to the rules and regulations and these changes will take effect immediately.
These changes will effect those with lanterns, candles, solar lights, certain flags, resign statues, plastic flowers, and other items put on graves as memorials. Wreaths now must be on a wreath holder and hold only real flowers and live evergreens. While we understand that people celebrate loved one's lives in different ways, we are trying to keep the cemeteries respectful for everyone for years to come.
Our Sexton has the right to remove any and all objects that do not meet with our Rules and Regulations and is considered non-conforming.
We ask the public to read over the Rules and Regulations and remove any items that do not meet our requirements, so precious items aren't discarded.
A copy of the Cemetery Rules and Regulations can be found on the Cemetery Trustees Page.
