APPROVAL PROCESS

The Town of Candia offers a straightforward, fair and simple approval process for building and development projects.

The first step is to contact the Land Use Office at 603-483-8588. Staff are trained to provide accurate answers to any land use questions and to guide the applicant to the correct town officials.

In many cases, the Building Inspection and Code Enforcement department can provide necessary permits. If your project involves a change of use or subdivision of property, the Town will require review by the Planning Board before proceeding. In some instances where the proposed use falls outside the letter of Town ordinances and regulations, but may not be counter to the spirit of those rules, an approval may be granted at the discretion of the ZBA.

Copies of the Zoning regulations and Subdivision rules may be obtained through the Land Use Office, where staff will be happy to direct applicants to the appropriate avenues for approval.
