Candia Police: Services and procedures
Posted on Thursday, March 19, 2020
To reduce potential exposures to COVID-19, we are asking all visitors that visit the police department to return to their vehicle and call 483-2318. An officer will then meet you at your vehicle to assist you.
The Candia Police Department is committed to the health and wellness of the public we serve, and we need to protect the health of our members in order to provide service to the Town. In an abundance of caution, we are modifying some of our services and procedures to limit exposure and to mitigate COVID-19 issues as much as possible in a policing atmosphere.
We will be practicing social distancing and we will take non-emergency reports over the phone. We will respond as necessary on a case-by-case basis; We will not have officers entering homes unless it’s an urgent situation. At the station, our officers may speak with you through the window or in the parking lot rather than coming out into the lobby to meet.
These changes are in response to the immediate situation. When prudent, we will rescind these modifications and return to our normal customer-service focus.
