Effective January 1, 2026, State of NH motor vehicle fees are increasing. Plan ahead!

Important Notice: The State of NH DMV will be implementing increased fees charged for all registrations. The new fees take effect on January 1, 2026 (DMV Fees).
Plan ahead...plan ahead...plan ahead!
- ALL vehicle registration renewals not processed in our office BY December 30, 2025 will be subject to this fee increase.
- If you have a vehicle registration that has not yet been renewed this year, you will want to renew it BEFORE December 30, 2025 to avoid any price increases.
- In New Hampshire, you can renew your vehicle registration up to four months in advance of its expiration date:
- Residents with a January 2026 or February 2026 registration renewal can renew during the month of December.
- Residents with a March 2026 registration renewal can renew starting in December.
Please note the following closures:
#1: ONLINE motor vehicle registration renewal kiosk access will be unavailable on December 30, 2025 and December 31, 2025.
#2: The Town Clerk’s Office will be CLOSED for the following holidays:
- Thurs, Nov 27 & Fri, Nov 28 (Thanksgiving)
- Wed, Dec 24 & Thurs, Dec 25 (Christmas)
- Wed, Dec 31 & Thurs, Jan 1 (New Years)
