CANDIA, NH - On October 11^th, 2023 the Safety Facility Committee met with SMP Architects and the Committee went over the revised plans for a smaller and less expensive Police Station for the Town.

The proposed Police Station would be a single story, wood framed building of approximately 4,464 square feet. Some of the highlighted features are:

• 2 Car Sally Port
• Secure Booking Area
• 2 Adult Holding Cells - 1 Juvenile Holding Cell
• Men’s & Women’s Locker Rooms including bathrooms
• Public Reception Area - Public Restroom
• Meeting Room
• Modern Evidence Room
• Patrol Room

Town Voters approved purchasing the land in 2022. Recently the Selectmen approved the removal of the existing structures, which will be completed soon.

The Committee agreed on a proposed Warrant Article for the 2024 Ballot and would appreciate the public’s support.
