The Candia Planning Board is looking for assistance in determining the best way for Candia to meet our housing needs while protecting Candia’s rural character. We are involved in a multi-year Housing Opportunity Plan (HOP) grant from the State of New Hampshire to assess needs and develop solutions that are in the best interest of the Town.

We are forming a HOP subcommittee to work in conjunction with the Planning Board to look at options to maintain Candia’s rural character while planning for the future to ensure housing for younger people and future generations. This committee will also be involved in community outreach to gather residents’ input and to inform them of the needs and the options available.

The time commitment is not large and is flexible. We are planning for 1-2 meetings per month in addition to public outreach. So please consider helping shape Candia’s future and working with our neighbors in the process.
